The VidQ™ Wizard helps you to easily generate the necessary Embed Code designed to your specifications!

Before You Get Started

Here are a few things to keep in mind while using the wizard:

• The VidQ™ Applet embed code uses Parameters to interact with your video and controls the look and actions of the Applet Player.
• The default Parameter Values are already set in their prospective form fields.
• For most Parameters if the default settings are not changed then they are not needed in your embed code and therefore won't be displayed.
• There are a few required Parameters that have default Values, these will automatically be added to your embed code whether or not their default Values have been changed.

At any time after you have entered the required information you can do one of three things:

• Generate Code Only - This will just generate the embed code based on your selected Parameter settings.
  
  
• Test Your Video and Get Code - This will play your video and generate the embed code based on your selected Parameter settings.
  NOTE (Pro Version Only): If you encoded your video using any security settings you must include www.vidq.com under $document_base list in either your auth or security file.
  NOTE (All Versions): You must upload the following files to your server in order to test your video:
  • vidq.jar file
  • Your video file
  • Graphic Toolbar file (if used)
  • vidq.auth file (if used)
    
    
• Use Sample Video - This will show a sample video and generate the embed code based on your selected Parameter settings.

Required Settings
Settings required to create a working VidQ™ Embed Code.

*Please select "generate HTML" when encoding to obtain these measurements. Width and Height can be found in the first line of the generated HTML.	Width px Height px Note: 2px will automatically be added to the width. Pixels will be automatically added to the height depending on which toolbar you use.
*Enter the URL of the site where the VidQ™ video resides. (i.e. www.yoursite.com)	http:// / This is the only form field where you need to enter your domain name. Do not enter your domain name again where you see "http://www.yoursite.com".
Enter the path to your vidq.jar file. (i.e. videos/scripts/)	http://www.yoursite.com/ vidq.jar
*VideoPath/PlaylistPath Will you be showing a single video or a series of videos in a playlist?	Single Video | Playlist

Applet Player Controls View/Edit Settings
These parameters tell the player how to display the video.

AutoPlay **	True False	Play the video immediately (True) or wait until the user clicks on the play button (False)
StartImage	http://www.yoursite.com/	Path to an image to show at load time (AutoPlay will be set to False)
EndImage	http://www.yoursite.com/	Path to an image to show at the end of video or when the user clicks Stop.
MegaVision **	True False	Users can switch to Full Screen mode.
Stretch	True False	When the video dimensions are smaller than the player dimenstions, stretch video to the size of the player.
DisableToolTip	False True	Disable the mouseover tooltip help.
TooltipTimeSeconds	False True	Show all video time in milliseconds. This is the best way to create a link for seek scenes.
RightClickMenuDisabled	False True	Disable right click popup menu.
EnableVideoInfo	False True	Enable or disable video info only in the right click popup menu.
CustomLink	Link Text: Link URL:	Create a text link in the right click popup menu.
ClickOnVideoEnabled	True False	Single Click on the video to Play/Pause the video. Double Click on video screen to turn Full Screen/Mega On or Off (if Mega/Full Screen is enabled).
Sync	(add + or - before the number) milliseconds	You can add (+) or subtract (-) milliseconds as a way to sync audio and video if nescessary. Example: <param name= "sync" value= "+500"/>

Connection Parameters View/Edit Settings
Connection Parameters control how the Applet Player connects to the video and the information displayed in the player.

BufferTime	seconds	Sets the buffer time.
BurstSeek **	True False	True value enables data buffer to seek maximum client connection speed resulting in fast reverse and forward functioning. Default false value set to data buffer seek 1.5 times video content; this avoids slow site behavior when many clients are connected at the same time.
BurstConnection	False True	True value enables data to buffer at maximum client connection speed.
SeekEnabled	False True	Disable fast forward and reverse (seek).
ForceBitrate	(Kbs per second)	Set the maximum bitrate size.
BufferingMessage		Change message "Buffering 10%" with the message specified by this parameter.
DisableNetworkSlow DownMessage	False True	Remove "Network Slow" message, when speed connection is slow.
BufferingMessageDisabled	False True	Hide buffering message.
MessageDisabled	False True	Hide all connection messages.

Applet Player Interface View/Edit Settings
Change the background color, border color and border width.

SkinBorderLine		Applet Player border color
SkinBorderLineWidth	pixels	Applet Player border width
BackgroundColor		Select player background color. Note: Keep in mind that when a user is viewing a video at a lower bitrate (smaller dimensions) then the default player size (refer to width and height at the top of the wizard) the portion of the colored background left due to the smaller viewing size will be visibile and might not match the background of the webpage.

Toolbars
If you Do Not want to display a toolbar, set ToolbarEnabled to False and skip the rest of the Toolbars section.

Java generated toolbar whose colors can be changed using Parameters.

A single graphic file depicting the toolbar buttons and progress bar (overides Default Toolbar).

Text/Graphic Overlay
Display a text message and/or a small graphic over your video (watermark).

You can put a message or watermark over your video while it's playing. Pro Version Security View/Edit Settings

SecurityPath - Enter the path to your security file. Security file contains all video protection instructions. http://www.yoursite.com/

AuthPath - Enter the path to your auth file. An authorization file contains bandwidth (hotlinking) protection instructions. http://www.yoursite.com/

Select Your Output

Only the embed code will be generated. No video will play.

This will play one of your selected videos on your server using the wizard generated VidQ™ Embed Code. All necessary files (video file, vidq.jar file, toolbar file) must be uploaded to your server. If there are any security or auth files associated with the video “www.vidq.com” must be listed in your security or auth file.
